Plant Guide Link

Sprout Robot is a free planting guide for gardeners.  They do have an optional membership program you can join and have seeds sent to you at the time they need to be planted. The free plant guide breaks down planting into weeks in your zone.  Very helpful when you are unsure when to plant.

Excuses, Excuses

Just a note to say I am sorry for not answering your comments. I have tried but for some reason ( atmospheric pressure, invisible force field, approaching cold front, etc. ) it won’t let me.

I do appreciate your comments and I will answer them all, even on the older posts, once the bugs are worked out. Thanks again!

Recipes will resume tomorrow, so come on back!

With much love………..Kristi.

Moving forward in 2012!

Just A Note......

Busy, busy weekend with lots of running.  I'll try to be back on track tomorrow, but not to worry, Wednesday's recipe will post as normal.

 Have a great day!

FYI: Dollar Tree Deals

Dollar Tree had a few great deals that I noticed and wanted to share with you.

32oz Lemon Juice for $1.00, that beats Save-a -Lot's price of $1.99 for the same size. (32oz) A savings of .99 cents!

Black Olives $1 verses $1.29 at Save-a-Lot.  Not a significant savings but a good buy if you're there already.

They also have large size spices right now, ( 2oz)ginger and nutmeg.  Our local supermarket has the Sauer's 1oz ginger and the 1.12oz nutmeg on sale for $1.98 this week.  So not only larger size but  .98 cents less at Dollar Tree.

Just a few good buys I noticed and wanted to pass along.

Have a great day!

FYI

I fixed the broken link on the Much Ado About Beans post.  Sorry about that.  If you click the link it should now take you to the previous post about pinto beans.  Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Also if you scroll down below the blog archive on the right side of the blog( web version for those of you on mobile) I have the post listed by labels.  This should make it easier to find what you are looking for.  For example, if you want to catch up on the Use It Up recipes you just click recipes and it brings up all past posts with recipes.

Coming up tomorrow:  Use It Up-Onions

Thanks for reading!

Slowly But Surely

One of these days I'll understand all this high tech stuff and learn the lingo.  Then I'll be up-to-date instead of behind the times.  I finally put up a Welcome entry on here as well as a Follow by email.  I've seen this on other blogs but wasn't sure if it was an option on Blogger or was actually out sourced.  Hopefully all the bugs have been worked out of this by now.  Wish I could say the same for the comments option.  I know it has been giving some a few problems as of late and I'm sorry.  I understand your dilemma as it wouldn't let me answer some of your comments yesterday.  Slowly but surely Gray Days will grow up one of these days.  For now, please bear with me through this teething stage.  And any suggestions will be appreciated.  Until next time.......Kristi.

Off Schedule and Feeling Fine

Guess you’ve noticed that I have been posting on off days, posting more than once in a day, posting late in the day, etc.

I’m just posting. How and when I can. I put a schedule on myself when I started because I knew that I would more than likely stick with blogging that way but lately I’ve felt boxed in with that schedule. Like I can’t add something on the spur of the moment or that I have to juggle posts into the next month because I wanted to add something unexpected today.

Who wants to live like that?

I prefer freedom.

So please excuse the mess around here while I haphazardly bring you my life.

FYI

My son had a program he wanted to download to his computer and after his father spending hours and losing his temper he declared it couldn't be done. Mumbling about it being out of date and something or other about not enough RAM.

Now my Zach is ever the optimist and after searching in forums and for links to tutorials he had the program installed in about ten minutes.

What can you say?  Not a lot actually.

In a separate incident just this week, Zach wanted to download FRAPS. (frames per second) great little tool to record video of games and give tutorials on the computer. The actual application costs about 37 dollars and is quite impressive but he found a demo version for free and asked for permission to download. I agreed and asked him to show me one of his videos when he got it done.

Later after showing me a few shorts of video. I ask if he has to leave the program running and minimize it while playing his game so he can turn it on and off that way. He says no I rigged it up so all I have to do is push F9 to record or pause. All of this was said as if he was teaching me to tie my shoes.

What can you do? What can you say?  I just turned and left before I lost anymore of my dignity.
