Picture Thought

Off the Beaten Path

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

To make a long story short, first truck(a.k.a. the red one)got stuck. After exhausting all ideas to get out, first truck calls second truck (a.k.a. the maroon one) for help. The second truck got through fine and hooked up to first truck but couldn't budge the first one. Second truck turns around to go but gets stuck. So after several hours of intense heat and mud to the embarrassment of the Dodges they are rescued by a tractor. Oh well it seemed like a good idea at the time. Made for a very memorable day.

I'm Still Here

Just a note to let you know that indeed I am still breathing. I usually draft on the weekends and lately the weekends have been crazy but a good crazy. Last post I was advising you to step out of your comfort zone and blog if that is something you desire. Well I have currently been taking my own advise concerning comfort zones. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not social at all. Chit chat makes me crazy, crowds make me stop breathing, and house guests bring hives. But for the past three weeks I have had house guests and enjoyed it. I got to see old friends and made new ones as well. Plus they have some of the cutest kids. All this social activity has made for some funny pictures, great stories, and even better memories. I will be sharing some of those with you this week.

This past weekend we did a bit of remodeling in our living room. Painting and new flooring. Good bye carpet! Also during this project there was a small road trip north of Nashville to a town called White House. Again there will be a full explanation complete with pictures later on in the week.

Hope you have all had a nice couple of weeks, complete with a few wonderful memories of your own.

I will try to settle back in to some sort of routine here once again. Thanks for bearing with me while I was away. Until next time..........Kristi

Happy Father's Day!

Seems like so much emphasis is placed on Mother's Day when fathers are just as important. So to all the dads out there, Happy Father's Day! Here's wishing you a great day!

To Blog or Not To Blog That is the Question

Why do I blog? Because I have always wanted to write, I just haven't ever been good at it. Luckily you don't have to be to have a blog unless, of course, your high school english teacher is one of your regular followers. I know I don't always get the flow right, don't use the right words, and figure a comma forgives the worst of sins. I love commas. I insert them whenever in doubt because in my mind a comma fixes everything. But yes there are run on sentences, incomplete sentences, etc. And I would love to have a dollar for every comma I use in each post.
But blogging is fun. I don't have a theme in this blog like some folks do. There are decorating blogs and recipe blogs. Mom oriented blogs and getting out of debt blogs. Mine is a hodgepodge. A little bit of this and that. My life in general. Sometimes crazy thoughts that take a wrong turn and end up on the off ramp that is my brain.
I tend to grasp things better if they are in print. If I am confused or unsure about something, I can set down and start to type it out. I don't know what it is about getting it out on a screen and having access to a delete button but it usually clears up the most complicated problems and makes them doable.
I am not sure about the message of this post other than if you have ever wondered about blogging or if you would be good at it or if it would be productive in your life. I say go for it! You'll never know until you try. Step out of your comfort zone and face the fear. Do it and have fun! Oh and one more thing......... make friends with the comma key! Until next time......Kristi.
